About The Communiverse
We design the social system around work.
The Communiverse is both a framework and a practice.
Everyone has a social ecosystem, the individuals, groups, places and spaces that shape their human experience. Whether it is accidental or designed on purpose, it directly shapes how trusted, connected and supported people feel at work and in life.
We work with organisations through certification, research briefings, speaking and workshops. We work with individual leaders through Social Wealth Activation, so they can map and strengthen their own social ecosystem.
Social Wealth is what we strive for. Social Health becomes a natural and sustained outcome
A conversation about the science of connection.

Glass parlour beads. Clay. A living social ecosystem.
The framework was first made by hand, in glass parlour beads and clay, before it became the mark you see here. Those first pieces gave the rings a physical life before they found their way into this quieter form.
The story behind the mark
This mark signifies bringing your relationships, your social capital, into the light, and activating them.
Everyone already has a social ecosystem: the individuals, groups, places and spaces that shape our human experience. Much of it sits in the dark, untended, even as it shapes how connected, supported and alive we feel.
The rings represent that living ecosystem, and the coral sweeps upward because connection only counts once it is activated.

The founder
Meet Shelley Doyle.

I am the founder of The Communiverse, a Social Wealth Strategist, researcher, speaker and host of the Rediscovering Connection podcast.
I have 15 years in professional communications and leadership across three continents. In 2021, I made a mid-career move from the UK to Canada with my family to study. My Master's research at Royal Roads University explored how relational investment shapes the Social Health of people leaders.
Thesis: “Leading with Social Wealth: How Relational Investment Shapes the Social Well-being of Remote and Hybrid People Leaders in Canada”, Royal Roads University, 2025.
As someone who has led remotely, navigated moves, and raised children at a distance from extended family, I have experienced what it means to have strong social capital and still feel deeply disconnected.
I have lived in eight cities, led distributed teams and relocated repeatedly. That lived experience is why I built this work. I wanted better language than loneliness alone, and practical ways for people to understand what resources them socially.
I host Rediscovering Connection, with guests including Robin Dunbar, Corey Keyes, Kiffer Card and Tristan Claridge.
I have spoken at TEDxVictoria Salon, DisruptHR YVR, CPHR BC and Yukon, Camosun College and Royal Roads University.
The work
We make connection part of everyday leadership.
We help leaders and organisations shape the future of work by designing relational rituals into leadership and everyday working life.
We help organisations establish a baseline, identify priorities and track changes in perceived Social Health over time.
- 01Reduce relational risk.
- 02Design the social ecosystem.
- 03Embed Social Health into leadership behaviours, culture and systems.
Keep exploring
We believe the way we work is a choice.
The method
A practical way to strengthen Social Health.
The Communiverse™ Method integrates academic research, real-world corporate intervention, and structured assessment frameworks to help organisations assess and strengthen Social Health across flexible work.
Social wealth isn't built through one-off interventions. It's built through small, intentional habits, grounded in agency, intimacy, trust, impact, and balance.
